About Me

One of the top 10 mistakes people make is chosing the wrong Realtor to represent them. Today, real estate is a business with low barriers to entry and a profession where part-time and even inexperienced agents can survive. The internet makes it easy to find them and many times their unprofessionalism and lack of knowledge can cost buyers and sellers money.

What ever you do next, focus on chosing a Realtor with the same standards you would apply to a doctor or CPA or attorney or any other trusted advisor. Would you want a part-time doctor to handle your medical care? The same applies to your real estate needs. When you find the right person for you, put them to work. Remember an experienced buyer broker is truly your best protection in real estate today.

Here is My Profile.  What follows are answers to questions people ask me all the time. The style is interview with links to tell you more about my background, experience and interests.

Tell me about your roots?

I was born in Connecticut as a 2nd generation American. I went to pre-school in both my grandfather's corner stores where I learned how to treat people and the value of old-fashioned customer service and networking. My lst job was in a garment factory working alongside my mom where I learned about economics and the value of branding by seeing different labels sewn on the exact same coats!

How long have you been a Realtor?

Since 2004 and to be honest, it was not my idea. Like you, one day I needed a Realtor in Santa Fe. My mom was ill and I had been calling Realtors for help. Days would pass before anyone returned by call. Finally, my mom told me to get my license and stop the nonsense! I did and made an unexpected career change from working behind the camera creating ad campaigns for global companies to obtaining my New Mexico Qualifying Broker's License, the highest license in the state. What a gift!  I joined Prudential Santa Fe Real Estate in 2006 as a Broker because I wanted to give my clients the advantage of a brand name and solid national connections. I am active in the Santa Fe Association of Realtors and currently the Chair of the new PR & Marketing Committee. Prior to 2008, I served on the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) Committee for three years.

You have some great photographs in your office. Did you make them?

Yes, thank you. I confess. I make an image a day, sometimes a lot more. My interest is to encourage people to see differently. Before real estate, I created ad campaigns for companies like Marriott Resorts, General Foods, Lotus, Grey Advertising to name a few. When I relocated to Santa Fe in 1994, I continued work as a free-lance creative director, licensed images and photographed weddings. You can see more of my creative work with one click here.

You were recognized as Volunteer of the Year?

Yes, in 2001 the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce surprised me with this award. Today, I am active on the Board of Assistance Dogs of the West, leading the 2008 Capital Campaign for a real home. I am active in the Santa Fe Association of Realtors and currently the Chair of our new PR & Marketing Committee. In my extra time, I mentor a talented Santa Fe photographer, Norah Levine. Prior to 2001, I served on the College of Santa Fe Visual Arts Council and as Secretary of the Vista Encantada Neighborhood Association.
